What is the Focus of the Book of Revelation?

     Have you ever read the book of Revelation?  Or do you just ignore it because its symbolism is hard for you to make sense of or does it just seems too much like a sci-fi novel to mean anything?  I have to be honest and admit that when I read the book of Revelation I was in high school, it sort of freaked me out.

    So when I was in college, I signed up to   go to Anaheim so I could hear Witness Lee give a Life-Study on the book of Revelation.  Some of the things I didn't get before made more sense.  But there were a lot of things it's taken years for me to get. And that's okay, that's what spiritual growth is all about. 

     When I started reading the printed messages of this training again a few weeks ago, what stood out to me was this amazing paragraph on page 5 of chapter  1:

One of the main aspects of this book is that God is recovering His right over the earth to make the whole earth His kingdom (11:15).  When Christ came, He brought in the kingdom of God with Him (Luke 12:2; Matt. 12:28).  This kingdom has been enlarged into the church (Matt. 16:18-20), which will bring in the consummation of the kingdom of God to the whole earth (Lee, Witness. Life-Study of Revelation. Anaheim: Living Stream Ministry, Print 1976). 

  This is the closing book of the Bible that tells us how God's story ends. It ends with God's kingdom coming to the earth.  And it will happen, and even though a lot of it seems pretty sci-fi, all these signs are full of amazing spiritual meanings!
